Waiting Area

The waiting area is mainly located inside the attraction. It starts when you enter the building that holds a small hall and further on a larger hall. Upon accessing the building you notice that the snake mosaics and the ceiling artwork are also represented inside. On both sides of the mosaic are doors that provide access to the attraction: each door has a separate entrance with each its own estimated waiting time. Normally, the right door is used, due to its larger capacity to host visitors. On extremely crowded days, it’s possible to extend the waiting area as far as outside the building.

In the queue itself, the general theme of the building is carried on in shape of the mosaics and ceiling artwork: here and there are Chinese signs applied to the walls. In the waiting line hangs an emergency map with details informing you on exits and escape routes. Also there are Chinese lanterns that together with its flickering on occasion and the mysterious music, create an exciting mood to it. The access to the preshow is blocked by a door full of artwork that opens automatically. A disadvantage is that because of a longer stay in the waiting line, it discourages the visitors to actually enter the attraction: on a number of occasions it happens that visitors leave the dark hall of Feng Ju Palace only to go and wait at another attraction.
