Music
Villa Volta’s music has been specially composed by Ruud Bos. Not only did he write the music of Villa Volta, also a number of other attractions in the Efteling park, such as Fata Morgana and Droomvlucht. The music of the mainshow is published on the cd “Wonderful Music of the Efteling” which is available in the Efteling. The soundtrack of both the preshows and mainshow is only available in record stores outside the Efteling. This cd is named "the most beautiful music from the Efteling - CD1". The soundtrack of the waiting queue is also available on cd. Ruud Bos: Ruud Bos was born in 1936 and worked initially as a music director at NOS-radio. He functioned as teacher for composing and arranging light music at the Rotterdam music conservatory. Besides the well known melodies from the Efteling, he composed a lot for motion pictures (Elckerlyc), theatre (shows from Wim van Sonneveld, Toon Hermans, Gerard Cox), and television (De Fabeltjeskrant, De Fabriek). In 1991 he and Ernst van Alterna worked together writing for Foundation Chamber Opera Holland, the piece Reinaert de Vos, inspired by the middle century piece. In 1972 he won second encore prize with “Boerrée Overflakkee” with was granted by the Dutch Blazers Ensemble and in 1982 a Golden Harp from the foundation Conamus. |
